Belgium is in the “dangerous outsider” bucket. For interesting reasons too. Not in the France/Spain tier, but nowhere near a true long shot either. Will this be the year? The spine is still heavy with all star, rock solid names – Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, Thibaut Courtois, Jeremy Doku, Youri Tielemans – and Rudi Garcia has a squad that can absolutely beat anyone in a one‑off if the old guard stays upright and the younger pieces click. On paper, that’s enough to justify Belgium as a plausible “last dance” story. But it doesn’t change the basic reality that the golden‑generation window has already crested and they’re now trying to thread a needle between aging legs and rising competition. The stats and proprietary data below is a great way to track how this story is playing out. (and being priced). The whales below are the best guide — they’ve been treating Belgium as a live puncher, not a fairy‑tale favorite or a team to write off entirely.
